And...we're back.

We had a GREAT time in Chicago! Tony's parents are wonderful, we always have a good time with them. The weather was much nicer than expected. I don't think it got above 85 the whole time and the humidity was almost non-existent. We went to the Museum of Science and Industry, took a boat tour on the lake, shopped (yay,) went to the Newberry Library book fair (YAY) and tons more. I think my favorite thing about Chicago is all the awesome restaurants that Mike and Vicki take us to. I ate a snail people! We went to a French bistro called Mon Ami Gabi and I tried a snail. (The garlic butter it was dipped in was awesome!) I also tried Skate (a type of fish, doesn't taste fishy) and capers (meh.) I've decided that I'm franchising Wow Bao, a fabulous Chinese steamed bun restaurant.

I also love all the walking you can do in Chicago. Walking in Denver is boring, and kind of pointless. You can't get anywhere fun, it's too far. We walked to the beach and went swimming one day, and went up and down Clark Street another. We also got to scoot all over the place (Scott Free or Die!) and Tony really liked that. Speaking of Tony, this vacation was SO good for him. He was so much more relaxed than he is at home. I never truly realized how stressed he must be all the time. His personality came back while we were in Chicago. The loss of who he is must have been so gradual that I didn't even see it, until it came back. He was so affectionate and fun to be around. I actually remember that Tony now. (And miss him so much!)
